Description: I loved the juxtaposition of the fisherman of different backgrounds peacefully sharing their love of the sport at the new fisherman's park just south of the Conowingo Dam. The technique I used to paint this is new. It uses a medium I've always loved, watercolor, with a canvas substrate that is coated with a clear acrylic coating to protect it from wear, UV, and water. Thus, it combines the best of both worlds - allowing the work to be hung without a mat or glass. Because I love reality with a twist, I included decoupaged elements on the side of the painting - fish these fishermen might catch in the Susquehanna - so get close and peek between the frame and these "fish" swimming below the water of the painting's surface.
