Description: This painting is part of a figurative abstract series I created that twists reality by playing with color and form. My intention in these works is to manipulate reality in ways that can help the viewer imagine what would happen if we could see the impact of normally unseen influences on the world. The techniques I use to create this painting evolve from Cubism and Fauvism. The other undersea figurative abstracts in this series include: School, Reef, SWIM!!!, and Tidal Zone. This painting indicates an evolution in the technique - where I also modify the texture to indicate the change in the underlying pattern.
